Hi! I'm more open to friending these days, so if we have interests/fandoms in common feel free to comment here and say hello.

Thanks [ profile] tulleskirt for the header of my lovely Miss Montana.

Ah, see I know nothing of Hannah Montana, so That would be why I didn't get that. lol. I pretty much live under a rock...I think the most I watch on tv is the pbs shows and the most music I get is what is on the radio when I do driving or whatever CD(which I have like one and its BSB) in my car(and my daughter loves it, so it gets played a lot).

And religion...I was raised southern Baptist.. but my views are very open. I even married a (jack) Mormon, and he shares the same views as I do. We believe there is a God, and we analyze the Bible and other religious books and just consider that when we die we'll know for sure.

We're also leaving it open for our daughter to decide what she plans to do with herself and her religious aspects. He dont want to force something on her just as we had done by both our parents.

ok, i'll stop rambling.
another words, its not an issue.

Maybe she'll still be around when your daughter is old enough to like her! (I adore Hannah, it is not a joke). I probably watch more kids' TV than anything else. Well, that and brain documentaries. You know you're at a bar with grad students when one of them starts a story with "OMG, you guys, I saw the coolest birdsong documentary last night..." XD (I attend grad school Nerd Academy, if you did not know this.)

I was raised Southern Baptist, too. Never was one, current agnostic. I'm actually rather open-minded about religion, at least I think so; at least the bits that you can't actually determine with science. I just hate fundamentalists and ignorance with a fiery passion, and alas in the Bible Belt, Christianity is pretty much synonymous with "Creeashun ~*PSYUNCE*~ for the win!; Satan put the dinosaur bones there to tempt us; LOL ADAM AND EVE, NOT ADAM AND STEVE!!!" So I think people tend to paint me more anti-religion than I really am. I'm anti-stupid and anti-anti-science. It's unfortunate that religion usually ends up caught in the crossfire because it's something that frequently goes hand in hand with those things.

That's very smart of you about your daughter. IMO forcing religion on a child is the easiest way to ensure their lack of religion. The most passionate and bitter atheists I know were raised with a Bible in the cradle.
